Spring ISD Wins International IPM Award of Excellence |
HOUSTON - April 11, 2012 - Spring ISD was one of six recipients to receive a 2012 International Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Award of Excellence from the IPM organization. Spring ISD Director of Operations C.G. Cezeaux and IPM Coordinator David Henderson accepted the award on behalf of the district at the 7th International IPM Symposium on March 27 in Memphis, Tenn. The International IPM Award of Excellence recognizes exemplary leadership and dedication in advancing integrated pest management. Award of Excellence recipients qualify by making significant contributions that have carried through to the implementation of IPM practices aimed at reducing risks and costs while minimizing negative impacts on people and the environment. Other recipients of the 2012 award of excellence are Purdue University, University of Wyoming, USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Red Tomato, and Land Grant Universities and State Departments of Agriculture in Soybean Production States, Canada and Mexico. |
