Spring ISD and HCPHES Offer Free H1N1 Vaccination Clinics (Jan 16)
Superintendent's Letter to Parents RE: Free H1N1 Clinics
H1N1 (swine flu)
The new H1N1 (swine flu) virus continues to be in the news as it spreads to countries around the world. The term pandemic refers to an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographical area and affects a high proportion of the population.

While we hope that a full-blown pandemic will not occur, we want you to be aware that Spring ISD is taking a proactive approach in addressing influenza issues for our schools, both H1N1 and seasonal flu.

This includes the development of a written Pandemic Influenza Action Plan in case it is needed. The district is working closely with Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services to share the most up-to-date information as it becomes available. We are coordinating our planning efforts with other agencies involved in pandemic influenza planning, and we will continue to monitor the situation so that we are able to efficiently respond to any changes.

Please click on the following links for more information and precautions that can be taken to prevent the spread of both H1N1 and seasonal flu viruses.
