Chett Burchett Elementary School

Chet Burchett Elementary, Spring ISD's 17th elementary school, is located 1.8 miles north of the Treaschwig and Cypresswood intersection on the east side of the road. It is named after Chet Burchett, a former member of the Spring ISD Board of Trustees for nine years beginning in 1993. In addition to his years as a board member, Chet Burchett has contributed to the District by volunteering time and leadership to the first Project Prom program at Westfield High School and establishing a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Westfield. He may be best known as the "Voice of the Mustangs" for the commentary he provided while serving for seven years as the announcer for Westfield football games. The Chet Burchett Elementary School opened in August 2005.  Mr. Burchett passed away in the spring of 2010 and is dearly missed by all of his bobcat family.
