Bus driver pay starts at $19/hour

Spring Independent School District's starting bus driver pay of $19 is one of the most competitive districts in the Houston area for bus driver pay. 

In September 2021, the Spring ISD Board of Trustees approved the increase in bus driver pay in an effort to recruit and retain qualified bus drivers. For current eligible employees, a referral incentive is available:

• Referral Program: Any eligible employee who refers a bus driver candidate who is hired and works for the district for at least 90 days would also be eligible for a $500 referral incentive.
